Here's a...
BRIEF EDUCATOR PHILOSOPHY of JERON MUSIC
I want you to help you meet your musical goals. I'm very passionate about music - it's my life. Period. Creating it. Performing it (as a Wedding, Corporate and Private Event Party Entertainer and Professional Musician.)
And I especially love teaching music (as a 10-year experienced, professional certified music educator).
(although I do like cooking as a hobby too - so it's not always about music)
For years, I used music as a way to bring students of all ages together and build their confidence - which developed them into well-rounded academics and performing artists.
Even though many of them don't end up becoming professional musicians, the goal of music education (learning to sing or play an instrument), is not to churn out orchestra player's (or more The Voice/American Idol contestants) - but instead, to deepen one's appreciation and understanding of this truly lovely art form. Music is truly the universal language - in my opinion.
So again, it's VERY important to make sure that my teaching style (and teaching philosophy) matches your musical goals and your specific learning style, so that you have the best chance for success.
So read a bit about how the Jeron Music Online Music Lessons are structured, to see if it's a good fit for you.
Here are the basics you should know.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
1. How do Online Music Lessons Work?
These are Online Music Lessons customized to your specific musical goals. Each student is unique.
a) For example, some music students want to learn to actually read music notes, while learning to play an instrument (or learn how to sing)
b) Some just want to learn to play their favorite song(s), as a way to learn to play an instrument
c) Some people want to learn an instrument - like guitar or piano - to be able to write their own song/create music
So YOU tell me what exactly you're looking to achieve and I'll help YOU create a customized lesson plan/curriculum that will help you progress.
I'll base it on your current skill level.
Keep in mind - that the best music course and curriculum put together by music educator experts it's useless if the student is not 100% willing to put in the necessary work that it takes to play an instrument.
Yes, playing an instrument should (and can be fun), but it takes dedication to get good. And you can, with patience and persistence.
REMEMBER: It's NOT 'practice makes perfect'. It's 'REPETITION makes for PROGRESS".
2. Do I need to own my instrument?
Yes, you should own the instrument you want to learn, so that you can practice at your home and progress gradually.

While I would love for you to book ten lessons up front, I suggest you start off with the first lesson. I'll even apply an introductory 10% off the $100/45 minute rate (bringing your total to $90; $50 non-refundable deposit; $40 due 1 hour prior to the lesson). If you enjoyed your experience after that first lesson and feel that I can help you meet your musical goals, please inquire about setting up a consistent lesson schedule. Possible discounts might be available for lessons booked and paid-in-full in advance.
Can I improve/make progress with taking lessons here and there?
Just remember: A lesson a month (or every few weeks spread out) will make it more challenging to meet your goals.
It sounds cliche, but it's consistent practice (a little bit each day; instead of a lot in just one day) and repetition of training exercises, which helps musicians (this also applies to actors, dancers, and really any craft) to master a skill. Committing to regular lessons (usually once a week is recommended), will help keep you motivated, as you see (and hear) your progress. In turn, you scheduling consistent lessons helps me to better guide and support you effectively towards meeting your objective.
If this all sounds good to you, fill the form below to schedule your first lesson!
